Flight of the bumblebee ๐Ÿ

I never thought I’d be so happy to see a bumblebee buzzing beside me, but I suppose that’s where I’m at now in my gardening journey! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜†

About a week ago, it occurred to me I hadn’t seen any bees in the garden, even though I have plenty of pollinator flowers.

This morning, I was again thinking about the bees because I have a lot of flowers on the cucumbers now.

I started worrying what if the fruit and veggie plants don’t get pollinated (I know we can manually do this, but I’ve been waiting for nature to take its course ๐Ÿ˜‰).

And then later this evening, Zaya (5) came running through the front door into the kitchen.

She excitedly yelled, “Mommy! Mommy! I saw a bumblebee! There’s a bumblebee on a white flower in the garden!”

So, everyone rushed out to the garden, and the six of us (me, Travis + 4 children) huddled together to watch this little, fuzzy bumblebee wiggle its tiny behind from flower to flower. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜„

    Dear Jenn,

What a heartwarming post! It beautifully captures one of gardening’s greatest joysโ€”the excitement of witnessing nature answer our quiet hopes.

I smiled when I read how your concern about the missing bees turned into pure delight with Zaya’s enthusiastic announcement. I could almost picture the entire family gathering around that tiny, fuzzy visitor, watching it happily move from flower to flower. Sometimes the smallest moments become the biggest memories.

๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ Thank you for your kind words, my friend!

I’ll admit, I used to be scared of bees lol ๐Ÿ˜…, but once I started gardening and understood bees have a great purpose for our plants, I am now no longer scared of them. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have a great respect for the bees, and I have been teaching my children to also admire and respect bees.

We were all very excited to finally spot one in our garden! ๐Ÿ˜„ And leave it to my little Zaya to be the observant one. Lol She loves nature and exploring the garden!

Zaya’s joy and mindfulness reminds me to keep slowing down and enjoy the little things in life.

Wishing you a peaceful day ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ, and may you smile when you see a bee happily buzzing in a garden. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’œ
