A Little Reset

This week, I’ve been focusing on refreshing the rooms and spaces in the downstairs part of our house. I told Travis I realized I do this about every three months.

I always feel happy and refreshed after I rearrange the furniture and organize any clutter that has accumulated over the months. With a big family like ours (8 people!), it’s hard to avoid any clutter. 😆

Reorganizing our home and rearranging furniture in the rooms helps reduce my anxiety. It also helps me focus and have mental clarity.

ChatGPT says, “people who do this usually process emotions through environment, need visual freshness to feel energized, think spatially, and are creative + intuitive.”

YES! 1,000% this is me!

This is so beautifully shared. I love how self-aware and grounded this feels—recognizing your rhythm, honoring what brings you peace, and leaning into it without apology. There’s something really powerful about tending to your space as a way of tending to your soul, especially with a full, lively house like yours.

That Psalm is the perfect anchor here—rest that’s earned, received, and deeply felt. And honestly, the way you describe reordering your environment as a path to clarity and calm? That resonates so much. It’s creativity, intuition, and care all woven together.

Thank you so much! I’ve on a journey for about two years now to learn how to recognize my rhythm to create life balance. I’m still evolving! 😊
Taking care of my home is very important to me, especially since I spend the majority of my time in my home since I am a homemaker and homeschool my children. 😊
